Professional Experience
Sarah Wood serves as an Associate Attorney within the firm's general liability practice area. In this capacity, she manages various general liability disputes, including contract claims, construction defect matters, and bodily injury claims.
Ms. Wood started her early practice career rooted in public service and criminal litigation, providing her with extensive courtroom experience and a comprehensive understanding of the judicial process. She served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit, where she was responsible for prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony cases, managing a high-volume caseload, conducting thorough investigations, and acting as lead counsel in contested proceedings.
In addition to her prosecutorial duties, Ms. Wood gained specialized governmental and administrative experience as a Staff Attorney for the Polk County Sheriff's Office. This position involved providing legal counsel and support on a variety of issues relevant to law enforcement operations, procedures, and civil matters. Her combined experience as a prosecutor and a staff attorney offers a unique perspective on legal risk, compliance, and courtroom advocacy.
